William grew up right here in Mercer County.  He was first exposed to golf at the age of ten, playing many rounds of golf with his father.

After attending Sherrard High School, William served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. He is a Graduate of Rutgers University and has tournament experience including hosting the LPGAs Longs Drugs Tournament while at Lincoln Hills Golf Club, as well as being on the preparation staff for the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course.  Over his nearly 20 years in the Golf Industry William has worked maintenance, construction and renovations at public, private and resort course including TPC at Deere Run, Desert Mountain, and Lincoln Hills Golf Club.

William is a Class A Member of the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendent Association of America). Over his 20 years in the golf industry, William has been passionate about his work.  He continues to educate himself keeping up to date on today’s trends and technology.

William and his wife, Veronica, have been married 25 years.  They have two daughters, Sierra and Summer. Summer attends Sherrard High School and the family resides in Viola, Il.

Chris Lopez is our new Pro Shop Manager, originally a Happy Joe’s Pizza Grille Manager. Chris has a Bachelors Degree in Middle Level Education, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from . He is also a Certified School/Business Safety Trainer (ALICE training).

Brett Williams and his wife Karen Williams have been residents of the Fyre Lake community for over ten years.  Both his sons Gavin and Mason attend Sherrard School District Schools.  Brett started his golf career as a varsity player for all four years from Rock Island High School.  He is also a graduate from Black Hawk College 96’, holds a two year player-National Qualifier-25th in Nation.  He also attended and played on the Golf Team at Truman State University.  He has been with with Hy-Vee, Inc. for 28 years.  He qualifies with a United States Golf Teachers Federation-Level 3 Teaching Professional Certificate; T.P.I. (Titleist Performance Institute) Level One Training; Sherrard High School Head Golf Coach-Five years running; Black Hawk College Assistant Golf Coach.
